The Talent Latent exhibition can be visited until 5 July at the Mercat

The second edition of SCAN has finished its full agenda. Some exhibitions remain open, amongst them Talent Latent  and, of course, the Dialogue on the internet. Amongst the activities held were the course run by Jordi Bernadó, the conferences of Ansón i Casals, the activities of the Tecletes group, the screening of several films – all of which were organised and run by the protagonists of the Dialogue, all the Talent Latent artists, the satellites and the Symposium speakers.

All have given their best to the public who have also played a leading role in this second edition. We at SCAN have now a sensation of emptiness, but we have analysed which events have been successful and which less so, and we are already beginning to think, plan and design possibilities for 2010. Our aim is to keep on improving and offer you a growing programme of interest.

Yesterday evening at Tarragona's Central Market the second edition of the photographic exhibition Talent Latent was opened, coinciding with the opening of SCAN. At the event the artists themselves were present, as was the commissioner of the exhibition, Cristina Zèlich, who outlined the premise of the show and the principles behind the selection of the featured projects.

The magnificent modernist space of the market venue will be home to the 14 projects which form Talent Latent, in an installation specially created by the architect Nacho Álvarez. The graphics have been created by the Jordi Ortiz and Patxi Solà studio. The show can be visited in Tarragona until 5 July. On 2 October the exhibition will open at Arts Santa Mònica in Barcelona.
