“Le geste paysan”, the next master class of the project “The image and place”

Whilst waiting to learn if the project “The image and the place”, presented by Tarragona, Lectoure, Toulouse and Menorca, will receive the subvention for artistic projects and contemporary professional thought organised by the Euroregion Pirineus-Mediterrània, and as collaborators with respective centres, we inform  you that the Lectoure Centre of Photography has organised the second round of competition for participation in the master class “Le geste paysan”, offered by Fréderic Nauczyciel. This will take place in Lectoure as part of the of the French municipality´s Photographic Summer. 

“Landscape and experience. Nature and culture in the photographic representation of territory” is the second master class of the project, and will take place next autumn, under the directorship of the photographer Xavier Ribas. From 8 until 12 October 2009, this seminar will be offered in Menorca, organised by  Imatge Serena and with the collaboration of the Menorcan Agency of the Biosphere reserve and the Maó School of Art.

On both occasions, and as  with Jordi Bernadó´s course, “Territories, cities, women and supermen”, the participants will be selected by their presentation of a dossier of their work. 

The concession of the Euroregion subvention will  promote the strengthening of the ties between the organising regions and will provide grants for some of the students matriculated in the courses, in order to carry out a project about the territory of one of the geographical areas collaborating in the Euroregion project.

Accomodation will be in a country house where the classes will also take part. Not included in the price.
