Olot welcomes the Talent Latent 08 Exhibition

The director of Serveis Territorials in Girona, Miquel Sitjar, and the director of Culture in Olot City Council, Anna Torrent, will open the show, which can be seen until 30 August.Tanit Plana, the commissioner of the exhbition, will also attend the opening.

Based on the exhibition which was presented at the SCAN 08 festival, the General Directorate of Cultural Cooperation has made adaptions in order to promote its itinerance. Each of the areas which the show has and will visit has welcomed a part of the pieces, taking into consideration the characteristics of the different venues. In the case of Olot, we can enjoy the works of Gelguda, Yann Gross, Aleix Plademunt, Moira Ricci and Ali Taptik.

The artists and the respective visitor's books which are included in this exhibition travel to different venues, both intimate and on a larger scale, allowing us to affirm or question photography as an artistic medium.

Framed within the project ”Culture on Tour”, the travelling show offers the work of fifteen artists at the beginning of their careers, from eleven different countries in Europe, America and Asia, and selected from more than one hundred projects proposed by professionals throughout the world.
